Donate your pre-loved running shoes, we'll clean them up and pass them on to the proud feet of young South Africans embarking on their adult journey.
Our goal is to keep running alive. We want to empower & let young South African’s realize their own potential through running and other sporting activities. Through this, not only can we nurture talents but find talents & start a greater movement.
At Project Run we are encouraging customers and passers by to drop off less-worn, previously loved sneakers that just need a little love, care and attention to transform them to ‘as good as new’ sneakers for the proud feet of young South Africans embarking on their adult journey.
How it works
Drop off your less-worn, previously loved sneakers at any of our branches at the designated drop-off point.
The Sneaker Shack will provide a fresh clean to all donated shoes in order to look and feel brand new.
The Sneaker Shack passes all cleaned shoes on with the hope that running is kept alive & the youth continue to feel empowered through sport.
Join us in taking your sneakers on another adventure and drop off your sneakers at any of The Sneaker Shack branches.

School of Hard Knocks x Project Run
Project Run handover to School of Hard Knocks
We want to celebrate our Project Run handover with the young adults of School of Hard Knocks✨ With all your help, we managed to collect, refresh & gift all those pre-loved kicks to the feet of our fellow young South African’s. From all of us at The Sneaker Shack, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to all those who gifted their pre-loved soles, it’s moments like these where small acts of kindness & mindfulness make the world of difference ❤️
Thanks for having us School of Hard Knocks & thanks to the talented Babalwa Latsha for being part of the practise & to MENstruation Foundation for their gifts! it was great to join & learn from you all. An afternoon filled with lessons around the positive impacts of sport & the importance of staying fit and healthy. You taught us the importance of both physical & mental strength, how the combination of the two is a key ingredient in winning the game of life 💪💥

MAD2RUN x Project Run
MAD2Run is a group of ordinary South Africans using our feet for a great feat! This is a unique annual fundraising event, in which a group of selfless individuals epically run from Johannesburg to Cape Town (1520km in total) in just 7 days! It’s a 24-hour relay-style running adventure, all in support of MAD Leadership Foundation.
We followed the runners on their journey and dished the dirt on what it takes to travel across the country using only their tenacity and feet.
We joined the challenge by collecting as many running shoes as we could across all our stores.
